Many people think modern and contemporary design are the same. But there’s a world of difference. They may be synonyms when describing many things, but in design, modern vs. contemporary are quite different.

Modern design refers to an era that has passed, while contemporary design is all about the now and the future.

Classic

Symmetry compositions, regular geometric shapes and lines, elegant decor, expensive natural materials are exclusive features of the classic style.

Rustic

Defined, rustic style is a design emphasis on rugged, natural beauty. It embraces nature-inspired textures, simple and earthy colors, and ultimately an unpretentious, organic warmth.

Industrial

The Industrial Revolution, now also known as the First Industrial Revolution, was the transition to new manufacturing processes in Europe and the United States, in the period from about 1760 to sometime between 1820 and 1840.
